More About Teddy

Our journey started only a year after bringing home our 8 month old daughter from China.
I knew I wanted to adopt again, so I started visiting Rainbow Kids online. I spotted our son's picture on their photolisting. We reviewed his file and started the process in February 08.

His Chinese name is Jiang Xiao Han. He was found with a letter stating his birth date. His birthday is April 24, 2004. According to the letter, he was abandoned when he was 1! Can you imagine spending a year with your child before you had to give him up! He had a misplaced urethra, so he was put on the special needs list. He went from orphanage to foster care and spent a few years with his foster family. He had surgery for the urethra when he was three. He is now back in the orphanage waiting for his Forever Family to come get him.

From the measurements we have gotten, he seems to be a tiny little guy. I think our Chinese children will seem like twins! Teddy is 4 and 1/2. Anna is 2 and 1/2.

Teddy: 37" tall
Anna: 35" tall
Teddy: 33 lbs.
Anna: 30 lbs.

Our LOA is finally here!

Our agency received our Letter of Acceptance from China today. We will receive it, sign it, and send it back on Monday. Then, we will wait some more! It can take 2-3 months to travel. Of course, we want to go now, but we will wait on God. That's always the best way. I am amazed at how patient I am this time. It is so much easier the second time around. Anna keeps me very busy, so I really don't have time to be anxious! I read in the book of Psalms recently how children are a "reward" from the Lord. We are so blessed by our four gifts that God has given us. We can't wait to meet our son! I can't believe it will be so soon! Thanks for coming along on this journey with us.
